The inter-religious harmony has its starting point deeply rooted in history, in the synthesis of several global traditions and cultures – from East to West – which have coexisted at the ancient Albanian territories. Recently made studies, have argued that besides the virtues of fidelity and hospitality, tolerance or interfaith understanding among Albanians, constitute one of the most outstanding profiles of their psycho-cultural modeling. The coexistence between Muslims and Christians has turned harmony into a historical necessity and it served as a tool to ensure the national unity and existence. Albanians are a people in which can be found both Abrahamic religions: Christianity and Islam, together with their respective communities. In many highly urbanized societies, either in the course of several centuries or nowadays, religious conflicts have been and continue to be a challenge in many social, political and religious planes.
